Our Approach

When migrating your applications and data to the cloud, we follow AWS’ proven Migration Acceleration Program to get the job done quickly, correctly, and with a reduced initial cost. This process leverages a comprehensive three-phase approach to achieve a strong AWS cloud foundation.

Assess

A successful migration begins with an assessment (that we’ll conduct together) of your organization’s readiness for operating in the cloud. The aim is to understand your desired outcomes and, if needed, develop a board-level business case using the AWS Cloud Economics Center, to help build broad support for migration.

Mobilize

During the mobilize phase, we’ll develop a migration plan and refine your business case as needed. First, we’ll establish a Landing Zone, or starting point for deploying your workloads and applications. Next, we’ll do a deeper dive into your application portfolio to inform our migration plan. Then, we’ll use AWS’ Migration Hub to create a central location to collect server and application inventory data for the assessing, planning, and tracking of migrations to AWS. This will also help accelerate application modernization following the initial migration.

Migrate and Modernize

During the migrate and modernize phase, each application is migrated and validated according to the plan. The phase begins with carefully identifying which applications or workloads are “low-hanging fruit” and migrating those first. This pilot effort builds confidence with stakeholders by demonstrating the migration’s initial success. Afterward, we’ll execute the remainder of the migration plan, along with any needed refinements.
